This is a good one. Mr. Miyamoto was caught napping during Koji Kondo’s (big Nintendo composer) speech at the Game Developers’ Conference (GDC) this year. Most people are guessing that poor Shigeru was jet-lagged, see the pic below (click for a larger version).

Polarium Wii?
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007
The Mitchell Corporation (who made Polarium for the DS and GBA) has announced that they have three games in the works for release in 2007. One for the Wii, and two for the DS. I thought that Polarium was one of the more clever games for the DS, and I liked it quite a bit. I hope that whatever they’re making for the Wii will be at least as good as Polarium was.

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007New Wii Game — EA Playground
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007
EA recently had an interview with IGN in which they announced a new Wii game that is in the works. EA Playground can supposedly be grouped in the same genre as Wii Sports and Wii Play, essentially “a mix of easy to pick up and incredibly fun playground games. There are some classic favorites in there along with some new twists.”
I must say that I’m a bit reserved about this game right now, I think that EA might just be trying to play off of the Wii- games’ success instead of trying to do something truly original and cool. We’ll see how it turns out, though.
