Geometry Wars Galaxies to Wii & DS

The extremely popular XBLA game has a sequel heading to the Wii and DS. Both versions will feature controls tailored to the unique systems, as well as a new multiplayer mode and retro/evolved versions like the Geometry Wars on XBLA. For all of you addicted to this psychedelic shooter, this is surely good news.

In Diner Dash, you play the restaurant entrepreneur Flo, out to work her way up to the top of the food service industry. The game blends fast-paced action puzzles with a build-your-restaurant-empire theme through over 40 different levels.

Marvel Trading Card Game (DS)
Based on Upper Deck Entertainment’s best-selling Vs. System Trading Card Game, Marvel Trading Card Game features Marvel’s complete stable of characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers, Ghost Rider, the Fantastic Four, The Hulk and more.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Confirmed

NGamer, a video game magazine, recently had an interview with Ubisoft to discuss the upcoming sequel to the unusual party game, Rayman Raving Rabbids. Here’s some of the key info from the interview:

  • Game will contain some history behind the Rabbids plans for world domination
  • Graphical improvements all-around (hopefully some 480p and 16:9 ratio as well)
  • Release date is TBA
  • Some possible unique usage of the Wiimote speakers
  • So far announced for Wii and DS

Shrek the Third (Wii)
Shrek returns for a third showing, based on the DreamWorks animated movie.

Etrian Odyssey (DS)
Etrian Odyssey is a turn-based RPG from Atlus and features nine character classes to choose from.

Touch the Dead (DS)
Touch the Dead is an FPS for the DS, which puts you in the role of Rob Steiner, the sole human in a jail full of zombies – it’s up to you to kill all zombies in your path and escape to freedom. The game also has Wi-Fi support for multiplayer action.

Spore Officially Coming to DS

EA has finally confirmed that the much anticipated game, Spore, will be heading to the Nintendo DS with an expected release date of March 31st, 2008.  This is the game expected release date as the PS3 version.  There’s no official word yet on the rumoured Wii version, but it seems much more plausible since the DS rumours have come true.

FFIV 3D Confirmed

The above scan from the latest Shonen Jump confirms the previous rumour that FFIV was in for the same 3D treatment on the DS that FFIII received. As you can see, the game’s not looking bad at all. In addition to updated graphics, the game will also feature some indeterminate extras.

There’s a rumour going about that the team that brought us the pretty 3D FFIII on the DS is now working on giving the same treatment to FFIV.  This rumour is certainly quite plausible, considering how well FFIII sold on the DS.  Game Usagi will inform you as soon as further news arises.
