Developer: Atlus
Publisher: Atlus
Genre: RPG
Players: 1
Console: PSP
ESRB Rating: M (Mature)
Hours Played: 150 (no, that’s not a typo)
Progress: Finished the game

The Persona franchise is a popular series by the RPG aficionados at Atlus. What makes it different from many of its counterparts is that it is set in a contemporary Japan instead of Tolkien-esque fantasy worlds or post-apocalyptic futures. The fact that it centers around a group of high school students, though, is not particularly different considering that every other game produced and published by a Japanese software company seems to involve uniform-clad highschoolers. Persona 3 Portable (P3P) offers a hand-held remake of the excellent PS2 title, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, with additional content in the form of a new playable female character and unique story segments.  So how does this franchise fare on Sony’s portable console? Read on to find out….

New Anime Movie Guide Domain

Monday, July 19th, 2010

Howdy everyone, just letting you know that I’ve made it easier to get to our popular Anime Movie Guide.  Now instead of bookmarking or remembering the number 238 all the time, you can just hit up animemovieguide.com and it’ll take you straight to our guide.  In the near future we’ll be adding a few more movies to the guide and in the semi-near future we’ll be adding HTML anchors to the page to allow you to easily jump between studios instead of scrolling forever and perhaps even give the guide a proper site of its own.

Progress: Finished single player, played every map in online multiplayer.

The first-person shooter genre is over saturated, no doubt. However, as in so many other aspects of life, competition makes for greatness. Being a multiplayer gamer, my journey to figure out exactly which game I would devote my gaming life to was an arduous one, but alas, as in war, victory was won by pure grit and determination. Enter Call of Duty: World at War (CODWAW). With grit in the pure visceral impact of every second of the single player campaign, you can feel the determination of Treyarch to make one of the largest games of last year. War is hell, and hell is here.

#1 Anime Movie Guide Online

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

So.  I constantly work to add to our Anime Movie Guide here on the site, and it has finally paid off!  We now have the #1 Anime Movie Guide on the internet (according to Google, who is the internet).  Yes, Amazon books do still come ahead of us, but we’re the #1 Online Anime Movie Guide regardless.  How am I supposed to compete with an “Erotic Anime Movie Guide”?  ^_^

Seriously, though, it’s only a matter of time before we come in above Amazon as well, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, take a look at our now famous Anime Movie Guide!

The World Ends With You

Time played: approx. 18 hours
Progress: completed game (1 time), player level 49, ESP’er Rank C

The World Ends with You is an action-RPG for the Nintendo DS. It was developed by Jupiter (a subsidiary of Square Enix) who was also responsible for the game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.  The World Ends with You?s pedigree and ancestors have set a pretty high set of standards for new Square Enix games not of the Final Fantasy lineage.  But does this new game meets up to these standards?
