Mario, Smash Bros., and Zelda This Year

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

The big guys

You better start saving money for this fall/winter. Reggie recently confirmed at the Nintendo Media Summit that we can expect, not only Metroid Prime 3 this year, but also that Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS) will be out before we hit 2008. It’s going to be an expensive, but amazing winter this year (Christmas will be crazy-busy) for AAA Nintendo titles. Hopefully Nintendo still has some aces up their sleeves (F-Zero, Kirby, New Zelda for Wii, anyone?) for the coming years.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Nintendo Exclusive

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Rayman... etc. 2

The first Rayman Raving Rabbids did undeniably the best on the Wii, even though it appeared on other systems. Thus, it’s looking like Ubisoft is set to release the game’s sequel to Nintendo systems (Wii and DS) exclusively. This may end up being what is now called “timed exclusivity” which is exactly what happened for the first Rabbids game, in which the game would be released for Nintendo systems first, and then later make its way to the other systems.

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

FFCC:CB (wow...)

The Japanese Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers (henceforth known as FFCC Wii) website promises a new trailer of the revamped game will be posted  this Friday.  This will likely be the trailer that was shown at the recent “media summit” that was held by Square Enix in Japan.  I’m expecting big things, so here’s hoping that the trailer doesn’t disappoint.  😉

  • new multi-player battle mode
  • boss battles
  • online multi-player
  •  downloadable extras
  • wireless guitar controllers
  • guitars will be shaped like Gibson Les Pauls

Also, here’s a preliminary list of some of the songs that will be featured in the game:

* Paint It Black (by The Rolling Stones)
* Cherub Rock (by Smashing Pumpkins)
* Sabotage (by Beastie Boys)
* The Metal (by Tenacious D)
* My Name is Jonas (by Weezer)
* Knights of Cydonia (by Muse)

* School?s Out (as made famous by Alice Cooper)
* Slow Ride (as made famous by Fog Hat)

* Barracuda (as made famous by Heart)

This will certainly be a AAA Wii title.  I can’t wait. ^_^
