The Smash Bros. site has had some interesting recent updates. The first one was the announcement of another new item, the assist trophies. These trophies resemble the collectible ones from Super Smash Bros. Melee, except that they are used in-battle as a sort of Pokeball for random Nintendo characters, as opposed to Pokemon. The first two characters to be featured randomly from within the assist trophies are Samurai Goro (pictured below) and the Nintendog that could be seen within the original trailer for SSBB.
