Developer Sucker Punch brought us a sandbox-style, 3rd person, superhero game over two years ago, at the height of superhero game-madness. What set the first inFamous apart was the fact that it is a completely original IP, centered around bike courier, Cole MacGrath who, by virtue of a device called the Ray Sphere, received fantastic electrical powers. Two years later, the game, and Cole with it, is back, trading Empire City for New Orleans-inspired New Marais. Will new powers, a fresh city to explore and different enemies be enough to rekindle the magic? Read on to find out…

It was almost two years ago at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) that Splash Damage, the developer behind Quake Wars and Return to Castle Wolfenstein gave us a glimpse at an innovative new, multiplayer-focused FPS, named Brink. With a greater emphasis on story and innovative, parkour-style gameplay, not to mention a great looking art style, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this title. Progress: Completed the main quest and all side quests

BioWare surprised at the end of 2009 with what seemed like a 3D version of its venerable dungeon crawling franchise, Baldur’s Gate. In reality it combined the same great storytelling and party-based combat found in its sci-fi epic, Mass Effect but in a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired setting. The highly anticipated sequel to 2009’s Dragon Age: Origins takes a more focussed approach, centering on a family, stranded as refugees from the Blight in a strange city, far away from home. So does this change in approach pay off and does this sequel innovate enough to satisfy? Read on to find out…
