Game Usagi Delays

Sick Bunny

Sorry for the moderate slowness of the news recently.  I’ve had a lot of shifts at work.  Instead of going as fast as a bunny, we’ve been more like a fat, sick bunny with a hernia.  Anyways, I’ll get some news updates up tonight, and don’t forget about the fact that we’re hiring!

First “New” Game on VC Coming Soon

May 3rd, 2007 by

Impossible Mission

Impossible Mission, a game for the Commodore 64 which was later remade for the GBA, will be remade once again and will be available for purchase for the Wii only by downloading it through the Virtual Console. This will be the first “new” game that has been made available through the VC. This game may well open the doors for other original games for the Virtual Console (ala X-box Live arcade). The same game will also be available for purchase for the DS.

New Sadness Artwork

May 2nd, 2007 by

The developers at Nibris claim that the final-product Sadness game will look remarkably similar to their beautiful concept art. I hope that they will have a way to work around the the aliasing issues that many Wii games have been plagued with so far. As per usual, click the pics for larger versions.

Miyamoto Takes A Nap

May 2nd, 2007 by

This is a good one. Mr. Miyamoto was caught napping during Koji Kondo’s (big Nintendo composer) speech at the Game Developers’ Conference (GDC) this year. Most people are guessing that poor Shigeru was jet-lagged, see the pic below (click for a larger version).

Polarium Wii?

May 2nd, 2007 by

Polarium

The Mitchell Corporation (who made Polarium for the DS and GBA) has announced that they have three games in the works for release in 2007. One for the Wii, and two for the DS. I thought that Polarium was one of the more clever games for the DS, and I liked it quite a bit. I hope that whatever they’re making for the Wii will be at least as good as Polarium was.
