Microsoft E3 2011 Conference Review
June 6th, 2011 by Logan PredyI looked into the past of Game Usagi and it turns out that we apparently haven’t done press conference reviews since 2008. This year’s conference reviews will take this form: a list of highlights of the conference, a list of “lowlights” of the conference, a list of neutral information and then a summary and an overall conference score. Check out after the jump for the 2011 review of Microsoft’s E3 Press conference:

BioWare surprised at the end of 2009 with what seemed like a 3D version of its venerable dungeon crawling franchise, Baldur’s Gate. In reality it combined the same great storytelling and party-based combat found in its sci-fi epic, Mass Effect but in a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired setting. The highly anticipated sequel to 2009’s Dragon Age: Origins takes a more focussed approach, centering on a family, stranded as refugees from the Blight in a strange city, far away from home. So does this change in approach pay off and does this sequel innovate enough to satisfy? Read on to find out…
Usagi3 and WWDC Conference Times [update]
May 31st, 2011 by Logan Predy[Update: Added links to available live video streams of conferences. We’re linking the official streams where available and the Gamespot streams, as in the past Gamespot has proven to have the quickest streams.]
In slightly less than a week’s time we’ll know all about Nintendo’s next home console, the 3DS eShop, Sony’s next portable console (NGP or PSVita?), and… well Microsoft will have something presumably.
Apple is also holding WWDC at basically the exact same time as the Microsoft E3 press conference, so we’ll get to learn about the next iterations of iOS and OSX too.
We’ll be liveblogging at least the Microsoft and Nintendo conferences this year, and just so you know, the conference times in CST are as follows:
Microsoft: 10:30 AM – June 6th — Official Stream — Gamespot Stream
WWDC Keynote: 11:00 AM – June 6th — Official Steam — TWiT Live Stream
Sony: 6:00 PM – June 6th — Official Stream — Gamespot Stream
Nintendo: 10:00 AM – June 7th — Official Stream — Gamespot Stream

When posing the question “Does it run Crysis?” to console owners, considering it was a PC-only title, the answer would always be unequivocally, “no”. But now PS3 and Xbox 360 owners need no longer feel left out as the sequel to 2007’s Crysis is finally here and available on consoles. This time around gamers will run through the crumbling city of New York instead of Asian jungles, however the frenetic FPS action along with the power of the “Nanosuit” make a welcome return. Is Crysis 2 relevant enough in this console environment populated with top notch FPS titles? Read on to find out…
Server Upgrade – Pardon our Dust
May 16th, 2011 by Logan PredyWe’re upgrading our server currently, so the site may not work at 100% capacity for the next 6 hours or so. When all is said and done, though, Game Usagi will perform like an even faster and more secure bunny. There’s some nice things in the upgrade for us too including better stats tracking and automated backups. So, if you’re having problems with the site today, worry not as all will be better very soon.
