Nintendo’s conference this year seemed to be laden with stats (now that Nintendo’s owning in all of them), but there were a few unexpected revelations that presented themselves today that made this E3 special. With three new Wii peripherals, and a bunch of solidified release dates, Nintendo did not disappoint their loyal fans.

Here are the revelations that were revealed during Microsoft’s Press Conference, as experienced by us first-hand — through the magic of the internet and GameSpot’s streaming conference feed (this is not a play-by-play, but a highlight summary):

As per usual, various sources, whether through leaks or from companies jumping their E3 guns, have released a bunch of quite interesting news to whet our appetites for the E3 announcements that are surely to come within the next couple of days. Game Usagi has compiled these stories into a convenient hutch* for you so that you don’t have to go through the laborious task of searching out these random stories from the five corners of the internet (the internet has more corners than the world, obviously). The next few days are the most wonderful time of the year for any gamer, and Game Usagi is excited to bring you coverage from our first E3. (Unfortunately from the side-lines, as Nintendo hasn’t noticed little-old us yet ;)) We’ll do our best to bring you all of the amazingly awesome happenings throughout the next couple of days. I know its probably futile to post Chicken Shoot again… but there aren’t many games coming out this week (game publishers need a break too). Here’s some good news – the Wii edition of Chicken Shoot actually did come out.
