Namco Bandai <3's Wii

In a recent Forbes report, Namco Bandai outlined the extent of their support for the big three video game systems on the market. Within the next fiscal year, Namco Bandai plans to release 23 PS3 games, 24 Xbox 360 games, and 37 Wii games. (Some of these will probably end up being VC titles) We now know who’s the winner in Namco Bandai’s mind. 😉
UPDATE: Soul Calibur Wii Confirmed

The Soul Calibur adventure game that was previously reported has now been confirmed in the lastest issue of the Japanese magazine: Famitsu. The game will be called Soul Calibur Legends and not much else is known about that. The news we’re all waiting to hear is whether Link will be making a triumphant return in the game or not. I might not get it if Link’s not in it…

Command & Conquer 3 to Wii?

Here’s a quote from EA Senior Producer Mike Glosecki:
“Although trickier, a Wii version with motion controls obviously brings up a lot more exciting possibilities for the RTS legend – and it looks like EA is pondering as well. There isn?t as much under the hood, so it (C&C3) obviously won?t look as good. But as far as control goes, I don?t see why it can?t be done.”
Sounds good to me! I’ve always wanted to use the wiimote controls for an RTS game, and C&C has always been my favourite.
FFIV 3D Confirmed

The above scan from the latest Shonen Jump confirms the previous rumour that FFIV was in for the same 3D treatment on the DS that FFIII received. As you can see, the game’s not looking bad at all. In addition to updated graphics, the game will also feature some indeterminate extras.

“Project Witches” Coming to Wii

A new game currently called Project Witches is coming to all next-gen systems, including the Wii! Will it look as good as the pictures here on the Wii — nope. Could it still become one of the best-looking games on the console to date, heck yes. Anyway, the main plot of the game that’s known so far is:
“Project WITCHES is a 3rd person tactical combat game designed to exploit the capabilities of new generation consoles. Players find themselves in terrifying dark medieval surroundings in an epic struggle for survival against the repellent deformed Hordes of the Beast, an evil creature that has established a reign of slavery and terror throughout the land. “
The game contains lots of ladies… some of the more naked persuasion. So, you can check out a video of some of the character models for the game (and a more cartoony game as well from the same developers) here.
