Mario Party 8 - Baseball Screenshot
Hours Played: over 12 hours

Mario Party 8 – the Wii edition of the Mario Party series. This game, like the others in the series, is much like a board game but better. Players take turns hitting the dice block and trying to get to the star (or other objective). At the end of each turn (after all players have gone) there is a mini-game between the players with a coin prize.MP8 has a variety of different gameplays including battle royale (regular), duel battle (quick 1-on-1), and tag-team battle (regular, but pairs combine stars). Duel battles are played between two players on modified maps.

UPDATE: S-owned-y (MGS4 to 360, and maybe Wii)

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Metal Gear Solid 4

Sony just got owned once again. Metal Gear Solid 4 now joins the ranks of Assassin’s Creed, Devil May Cry 4, GTA IV, Haze, and other PS3 games that were supposed to be exclusive. MGS4 will now be making it’s way to the Xbox 360 (release date has yet to be determined). Not only that, but a downgraded Wii version is also being discussed with Nintendo as you are reading this article! You know that there’s something wrong with Sony’s hold on exclusives when their biggest upcoming title gets developed for both of the competing consoles as well. Well, at least I’ll be able to pick up the game now. ^_^

UPDATE: GoNintendo doesn’t seem to think that it’ll ever come out for the Wii. *shrug*

Super Smash Bros. Dojo

The Smash Bros. site has been redone to now lead up to the gradual unveiling of new info regarding the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl game.  Right now on the site they just have some basic descriptions of gameplay elements and some new screens we haven’t seen before of the characters we already know will be featured in the game, as well as a HUGE list of famous composers that are working on the game.  (If the quality of the composing crew is any indication, the music for SSBB will be phenomenal).  Check back often to see any new news regarding this AAA Wii title.
